This basement remodel project in Northwest Portland transformed a single-family residence into a more functional and elevated space for the family’s everyday living and for hosting guests. Partnering with Wise Design, the homeowners set out to reimagine the basement with a focus on comfort, utility, and thoughtful detail. The scope included a range of custom storage and shelving updates, featuring a murphy bed, new laundry storage, a grind-and-seal finish for the existing concrete floor, and new carpeting.

The cabinetry scope featured a built-in entertainment wall, a uniquely arched desk nook, a murphy bed with integrated storage, white oak wall paneling with custom-fabricated brackets, and additional custom shelving. Collaboration was central to the project’s success, with close coordination between ClarkBuilt, the clients, and Wise Design ensuring each element supported the broader vision.
