The Scenic Drive interior renovation centered on opening up the heart of the home to support entertaining and create seamless visual and functional connections between the kitchen, dining, living, and outdoor spaces. The design began with removing the wall that separated the kitchen and dining room, resulting in a spacious gathering zone with improved circulation and shared sightlines. As part of this reconfiguration, the pantry and powder bathroom were thoughtfully reoriented to enhance usability and flow.
A dual-sided fireplace now serves as a sculptural focal point between spaces and received a full material refresh. On the entry side, Classique Blue Roma quartzite forms the hearth, paired with a Pratt & Larson tile surround. In the adjacent living room, the same quartzite is used for the surround and complemented by custom white oak paneling, harmonizing with the newly installed and refinished oak hardwood flooring throughout.
The kitchen now opens directly to the outdoor patio via a new four-panel stacking glass door, creating a new indoor–outdoor connection ideal for hosting. Custom white oak cabinetry pairs with select painted built-ins matched to the Blue Roma quartzite fireplace. A PentalQuartz Super White countertop slab provides a crisp, durable surface. Tile work continues throughout the home, including Pratt & Larson backsplashes at the bar and Ann Sacks selections in the updated powder bathroom. Fantini’s matte white I Balocchi faucet and handles bring a touch of playful character to the space.
Together, these updates create a cohesive, elevated interior that combines warmth, craftsmanship, and material richness while meaningfully enhancing how the owners live and entertain.
