EDWARD HODGE
SHOP CARPENTER I
Edward’s path into the design and construction world began with a childhood school project on his grandfather, an architecture professor at the University of Oregon. That early connection, along with a growing awareness of the environmental impacts of the built environment, sparked a lifelong interest in sustainable design and natural building practices. His passion led him to travel, work with natural materials, and eventually return to school to complete a Bachelor's in Architecture.
With hands-on experience building a cob house in Baja, designing for permaculture-focused projects, interning at Observation Studio, and crafting custom cabinetry at L&Z Specialties, Edward brings a unique balance of design and construction expertise. His background allows him to approach projects with both creative vision and practical know-how, making him a well-rounded contributor from start to finish.
Edward takes pride in his determination, work ethic, and the ability to bridge the gap between design and build. His favorite part of the job is watching a project evolve from concept to completed space—and being part of every step in that journey.
Outside of work, Edward can often be found surfing the coast, fly fishing, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, or hanging out with his cats. A devoted fan of STS9, he’s seen the band live more than 35 times across six states.
